About mary
With over 30 years of professional experience—first in the Canadian Armed Forces followed by a 24 year career in Public Relations — I made the pivotal decision to leave the corporate workforce and fully embrace a life-long passion for health, fitness, and wellness.
My personal journey through menopause, compounded by concussions and PTSD, has revealed a significant lack of credible and accessible information about women’s health, particularly in brain health and emotional trauma. The knowledge gap surrounding perimenopause and menopause not only reflects a serious shortcoming in our healthcare system and workplaces but also contributes to a growing global mental health crisis. We deserve better!
My mission is to empower clients on their menopausal journey with confidence and dignity, equipping them with credible research and knowledge so they can advocate for their health.
Think of me as a coach in your corner and a cheerleader on the sidelines. I meet you where you are with a compassionate ear, facilitating access to essential support and resources to reduce feelings of overwhelm and confusion. I advocate for better support and easy access to accurate, credible information to guide your healthcare decisions.
My Apprach To Well-being
My coaching program blends menopause education with various fitness and wellness practices, including Barre, resistance training, yoga, and mindfulness. I focus on supporting busy women who refuse to be limited by societal norms that associate menopause with career or age-related constraints. I work with individuals with a growth mindset who are motivated to take control of their health. I support clients with TBI, PTSD, or other injuries impacting cognitive function, as well as those with neurodivergent traits, whether formally diagnosed or self-identified.

Motivated by personal experiences with misogyny, confusion, and misinformation, I decided to take action. In 2022, I became a Menopause Doula through the Doula Training Centre (DTC) in Toronto, with the goal of providing education and support to women. Ironically, I hadn’t heard of menopause doulas until I haphazardly stumbled across an article in Vogue Magazine.
Recognizing that many professionals like myself might be struggling with menopause symptoms and feel too embarrassed to discuss it at work, I decided to advance my certifications. I partnered with thethe Menopause Expert Group to become a Licensed Menopause Champion.
As a MEG Champion, I advocate for menopause awareness and education in the workplace, helping corporations develop policies to effectively accommodate employees. I strive to create a supportive and inclusive culture where individuals affected by menopause can excel in their careers while feeling fully supported.
