Emme Elle Coaching's backstory of Who We Are, What We Do and Why We Do It!

Trauma-Informed, EMPATHY-Driven, science-backed …

This is why Emme Elle Coaching is different.

I'm Mary (a.k.a. ML), a Menopause Doula and Women’s Strength Coach with an intentionally inclusive, trauma-informed and neurodivergent-aware approach. As a leading voice in midlife women's executive wellness, I addresses a profoundly underserved market with scientific rigor and human grace.

My work recognizes the complex intersections between menopause and experiences that are often overlooked in conventional menopause care—including PTSD, traumatic brain injury (TBI), neurodivergence, LGBTQ+ identity, and changing body composition, including the realities of GLP-1 use.

This isn't about "fixing" or squeezing us into another wellness formula.

My coaching and education approach is about giving you the knowledge, tools, strength, and self-trust to understand what's happening in your body and brain, to ask better questions, to make informed choices, and to advocate for the care and support you deserve.

I get it! I’ve lived the experience

My personal journey through peri/menopause, compounded by concussions, post-traumatic stress, and growing up with dyslexia, revealed to me that there is a significant lack of credible and accessible information about women’s health, particularly in brain health, neurodivergency, and trauma .

This knowledge gap surrounding female hormone health not only reflects serious shortcomings in our healthcare system and workplace support, it also contributes to a growing global mental health crisis.

We deserve better! So, I took action.

Fitness and wellness has been a side-hustle passion since the early days of my military career, and continued throughout my PR profession.

Motivated by personal experiences with misogyny, confusion, and misinformation, I retired from corporate communications shortly after becaming a Menopause Doula with the goal of providing education and support to women. Ironically, I hadn’t heard of the term menopause doula until haphazardly stumbling across an article in Vogue Magazine.

Recognizing that many professionals, like myself, are struggling with menopause symptoms and feel too embarrassed to discuss at work, I decided to advance my certifications and became a Licensed Menopause Educator to bring menopause-aware training to corporations, and to advocate for a menopause-friendly culture with improved workplace policy and accommodations. I help organizations create a supportive and inclusive culture where individuals impacted by menopause can excel in their careers while feeling fully supported and safe in their jobs.

This Is for You If…

  • You’re navigating peri/menopause and want holistic tools beyond perscriptions or snake-oil promises.

  • You feel like you’ve “lost” your body or identity and are ready to reclaim both.

  • You seek evidence-based guidance that honours your lived experience and intuition.

  • You want support that recognizes menopause isn’t lived in a vacuum — that trauma, neurodivergent traits and/or concussion will make symptoms more nuanced and complex.

  • You’re ready to feel strong — inside and out — and to take agency of your health decisions.

  • You’re an organization, leader, career profession, or head-up your company HR, and are ready to create a menopause-inclusive culture in the workplace for your staff and teams.

If any of the above, or my story and experience resonates with you, I’d love to explore how I can be of service to you.
